Location Ahtopol  is a small town situated on the Black Sea, southeastern corner of Bulgaria, 87km south of Burgas and about 17 km north of Turkey's border. It has two long beaches, from which, the second one, north of the town, is more isolated.

When to Come The season starts beginning of June and lasts until late of September. Prices vary according to pick seasons. Mid July to end of August is usually the pick season, but beginning of September is the best combination of price and nice weather.

Points of Interest In the town, the Assumption Church and the St. Yani Monastery are interesting sights. 5km. south of Ahtopol is Veleka River for fishing lovers. 1-2km further on the south is Sinemoretz (Blue Sea), famous with its long and peaceful beaches.

Average temperature of  Black Sea water is 25°C, 78°F, colder in June, warmer in September.
